WP Manual
This wp manual is good to read if you’re new to WordPress. Here is the basic functionality up to you to manage content on a website. This site has some links that you can press for more in-depth knowledge of a given area.

Admin panel
To log into the admin panel, please visit http://www.dindomän.se/wp-admin. When you typed your username and password (both case-senitive) will enter the homepage of wordpress admin panel. On the left navigation bar, you have to include ”Post”, ”Media” and ”Pages”. On the home page are some boxes where you can see them recent comments, visitor mm.
Pages
Under ”Pages” are all the site’s pages. You can choose to add a new page or edit an existing one.

(2) Here is a simple word processor which writes the content. Make sure the ”Visual” mode is selected (3). HTML mode is for advanced users. If you want more buttons on the editor, press on the icon at the top right (4). More on word processor available on the Pages word processor
Near the top right of the page is a post box. (5) Here you can preview your changes, schedule publication and publish the current page. More on publishing but on the pages, publish
In publishing, but there is a box with page attributes. (6) Here we enter the current page location in the hierarchy and the order of pages in the same level in the hierarchy to come. A high number comes after a low number. More about attributes can be found on pages-page attributes.

Posts
The difference between pages and posts are not so great. It is the use that separates them both for. One post is often linked to a newsletter or a blog. Older posts are usually less important than new. It can be said that the messages you write temporary information while the pages contain timeless information. For example, the contact details are on one side while the current offers may be on a post.
Comments
Below are all the comments on your page. You can simply reply, edit and delete comments.
Media
It is the media library, all uploaded images and documents are available. There are two ways to upload a file to the website. One can go through the media library and choose ”Add” or so to upload files directly when you edit a page / post. Between-line text field and text-editor, there are four buttons.
Hold your mouse over them you get a brief description.
Apperance
In appearance you will find, among other widgets and menus.
Widgets
At the side of your page content there is one or more ”sidebars”. In these sidebars can add widgets. Widgets are a small boxes where you can put some information. To get to your widgets go to Appearance> Widgets (Appearance> Widgets).
Here you see all the widgets you can add to your website. To the right you will see your sidebars. Just drag a widget to a sidebar to activate them.
Menus
In the menus, you can edit the menus. At the top, enter the menu you want to edit (1). You can also add new menus. At the top of the left hand column (2), enter each menu to appear. Further down the left hand column (3) you can add pages to the menu (4). You can add menu items in two ways: either as you enter a custom URL where you type the URL you want, or so, you mark a page on this site. The latter is most common.
When you have all the menu items as you drag elements (4) so they end up in the right order.

Plugins
Plugins are small additions that you can install to your website. Them most of our customers do not need to change anything with the plugin. We at WebFish have already set their optimal settings for your homepage.
It may be that you have a photo album or a contact form which needs to be edited from time to time. How to use different plugins is outside the scope of this wp manual. More about plugins will you find on our wordpress plugin page or at wordpress.org.
Users
There is the possibility of creating new users. This is done during Users-> Add new.
This is their different user roles:
- Administrator – have full access to everything.
- Editor – can create and edit posts and pages. The editor can also modify other people’s posts.
- Author – can write and edit their own posts.
- Staff – can write and edit their posts but requires an admin approve new posts.
- Subscriber – can only edit his own profile.
Settings
Here are most of those settings from the site plugin. Our customers need almost never bother with them. There are those optimal settings from scratch. There is also general settings such as owner’s email address. If you want to look through these pages should be extra careful watch on the ”General”, ”Writing” and ”Reading”.
